The Revolutionary Force that Drives Pratt & Miller

Pratt & Miller's success is written in racing's record books, with victories and championships in series that span the spectrum of motorsports. In programs such as Corvette Racing, Pratt & Miller has a high profile; in others, the company works quietly in the background to develop race-winning technology for its clients.

Corvette Racing

Corvette Racing

Conceived, designed, constructed, developed, and campaigned by Pratt & Miller Engineering, the Corvette race cars that carry the banner of Corvette Racing have dominated Grand Touring racing in the U.S. and abroad. The close working relationship between Pratt & Miller, the production Corvette group, Chevrolet Racing, and GM Powertrain produced a performance icon that's recognized around the world.

Pratt & Miller has faced – and defeated – formidable opponents in this quest, going head-to-head with factory-supported teams representing Ferrari, Porsche, BMW, Aston Martin, and Lotus. Corvette Racing's record, with well over 100 race wins and 8 24-Hour of Le Mans victories, is a testament to Pratt & Miller's experience, expertise, and commitment to excellence.

Chevrolet NASCAR

Chevrolet NASCAR

Pratt & Miller Engineering has played an integral role in Chevrolet's dominance in NASCAR. In a ferociously competitive series contested by a dozen manufacturer-supported teams, any competitive advantage can be decisive.

Based at a dedicated facility in Huntersville, N.C., Pratt & Miller NASCAR support engineers enhance the race teams’ engineering capabilities by applying disciplined methodologies and cutting-edge technology. Specific areas of support include tire testing and analysis, vehicle simulation development, vehicle dynamics analysis, track characterization, and advanced instrumentation and testing support.

Chevrolet IndyCar

Chevrolet IndyCar

The introduction of an all-new chassis and new turbocharged V-6 engines in the IndyCar Series in 2012 provided an opportunity for Pratt & Miller to exercise its engineering expertise. Confronted by a host of unknowns with the new cars and engines, Pratt & Miller helped Chevy-supported teams to solve the new performance equation quickly and effectively.

Pratt & Miller coordinated testing and development with Chevrolet teams in areas of common interest. This approach proved to be a key element in Chevrolet-powered entries winning 11 of 15 races in 2012.
